Steve Grossman
(January 18, 1951 – August 13, 2020)
The following are a series of exercises which Steve used to write out for his workshops. He jotted them down from what he heard inside his head and without the use of any musical instrument. They are long and articulated solo lines, usually constructed over standard chord progressions. These lines provide a great insight into Steve's melodic and harmonic vocabulary. |
